Course Description
This course is a comprehensive program that offers an analytical review of the policy level issues relating to finance, administration, and provision of health care system to address the health needs in the country. This short course is designed for health care facility owners/administrators, chief executive and operating officers, financial officers, technical officers and staff of various agencies/organizations, researchers, and students of hospital administration.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, the participants should be able to:
- Appreciate the concepts/methodologies of health
economics and the principles that drive the demand and
supply of health care in the country; - Analyze the issues and trends influencing the
finance/administration of the country’s health care system
and the delivery of health services in the community;
- Develop a sense of awareness for health economics and its
crucial role in policy analysis, development, and advocacy.
