Course Description

Basic principles of health policy making process.

 

 

 

Course Objective

At the end of the course, the participants should be able to:

  • Understand the complexity as well as the importance of the policy-making process, which has analytical, political and legislative components;
  • Understand the process of policy development and analysis
    as it applies to the health management system;
  • Differentiate appropriate policy and program
    implementation issues;
  • Develop beginning skills systematic policy analysis; and
  • Appreciate the need for health professionals to be involved
    in systematic health policy development.
