RCCN has taken responsible actions to reorient its existing programs and activities, restructuring its organization to better address the current challenges and is working at its full capacity towards the mandate of building and strengthening the human resources in the field of nutrition/health in the region.achievements in catering to the needs at the national level, and in contributing to the regional development in terms of training courses, workshops, postgraduate programs, research, consultancy and seminars carried out during the reporting period.
The Regional Centre for Community Nutrition (RCCN) is one of the Centres of the SEAMEO TROPMED Network. Hosted by the University of Indonesia (UI) in Central Jakarta, it is under the jurisdiction of the Indonesian Government's Ministry of National Education. August 1970 saw the start of the operations of RCCN as a SEAMEO Centre. Since then, the Centre has provided advanced training, research and consultancy services in human nutrition. It has expanded its reach and is now serving not only professionals from the Asian regions but also from Africa and Europe.

To carry out teaching, research and consultancy services in community nutrition at an international level quality to contribute to its vision Objectives
Objectives
- To train professionals throughout the region in planning, executing and evaluating nutrition policies and intervention
- To promote research/investigation in nutritional problems and possible interventions directed towards the improvement of the nutritional situation at the district to the regional level
- To link and assist other nutritional training and research institutions within the region,
- To provide expertise for formulating recommendations concerning food and nutritional policies, and
- To stimulate and promote scientific cooperation within member countries and with other international institutions.
