Objectives

At the end of the course the participants shall be able to:


  • Understand the basic principles of nutritional assessment method (dietary, laboratoty, anthropometric, and clinical assessment)
  • Understand the advantages, limitations and applicability of various methods used in nitritional assessment
  • Acquire the methond and perform dietary, laboratory, anthropometric, and clinical assessment of individuals or groups in the community, essecially the vulnerable groups
  • Analyze nutritional assessment data and evaluate nutritional indices using applopriate procedure, reference data criteia
  • Develop competency and assurance in the careful evaluation, interpretation and critical appraisal of selected research articles on nutritional assessment
